Module 1: ArcGIS Overview

 

GIS Orientation

The first lab is designed to familiarize and navigate the multiple drives and applications that are necessary for our future course work. 

After working through a few tech issues with Google Drive and Argo Apps - I was able to dive into ArcGIS Pro. 

I was familiar with most of the content covered. My main struggle was with the scaling of the layout. All my initial work was done through the Virtual Desktop on ArcGIS Pro (3.0.3). 

I was having issues with scaling through the virtual desktop so I opened my project in ArcGIS Pro (3.2.1) on my personal desktop and was able to scale correctly.

After completing the Lab instructions - I went back into the Cities Symbology properties and lowered the point size which made the Countries Population Layer more visible and the map visually appealing.
