M4: Geoprocessing

Geoprocessing

Module 4 - or as like to refer to it as - finally something I'm not familiar with! While the creating and modifying scripts was familiar - using ModelBuilder was a new skill! 

While it was a new skill - it built off the geoprocessing skills we already had - so it was not a huge learning curve. 

After the exercise and lab I feel a bit confident with the basics of ModelBuilder. 

The creation of the script to add xy coordinates, buffer, and dissolving the buffer was pretty straightforward after completing the exercise and reviewing the ArcGIS Pro pages. 

I don't believe in reinventing the wheel unless its required or broken. But as a former Jeep owner and now a 4Runner owner - I do believe in upgrades when you have the time and money.  Unfortunately, I didn't have time on my side this week- so, stock script it is. 

PS. I passed Network+ and the ITF+! 

(A bit out of order but I had to keep rescheduling the ITF+ exam so I could focus on A+ and Network+. )

Now GIS has my complete focus until July!
